Protect the value of you woodlot with yearly maintenance just as you would your house.  Let Liberty Farms maintain your woodlot. Long term contracts with quarterly or annual payments make it easy and affordable.  We can provide a forester to work with you and establish a management plan. We can execute the plan through long term maintenance.

Aims and Objectives of Management

Through a combination of survey work and meetings on site, we will use our knowledge and experience of forest management to establish a full set of aims for managing your woods.  From this coherent starting point we can produce short, medium and long-term management plans combining such objectives as timber production, nature conservation, recreation and sport.

Woodlot Management

Woodlot management enhances the unmanicured, wooded areas of your property.  These sections are thinned to remove dead, diseased, or undesirable trees. Woodlot management will open an overcrowded forest canopy.  It also encourages forest regeneration, species diversity and the growth of desirable under story shrubs.

Woodlot that is not maintained

Can you see the difference?

They can

Tree removal can alleviate unhealthy competition and open up beautiful vistas.  Additionally, your feature trees may be pruned to remove dead and diseased wood.  We advocate pruning or reducing the presence of Poison Ivy and Bittersweet Vines when they impair the ability of other species to develop.  This woodlot management practice will ultimately prevent damage to feature trees and under story trees.  The brush that results from woodlot management services is chipped within the woods and the bulky wood stacked in low rows.  This enables the beneficial organic material to return to the forest floor, thereby maintaining the balance of nature on your property and providing essential nutrients for growth.

Access roads provide a means to maintain your woodlot.  Access also allows easy access to fight forest fires.
